about me
navigation My design philosophy is to help make the home the client's cocoon, an environment that is safe, warm, functional, charming, and tasteful. I love to help rearrange the client's current pieces of furniture and accessories to make the room more welcoming and complementary, conducive to friends and family and great conversations. Given the opportunity, I love to have a vision and start from scratch to create something very special -- an entertaining environment to where the client would love coming home.

If you think you can't afford a top designer, I'll be happy to show you how you can!

. . . a little background:

I was born and raised in San Francisco and have been designing professionally since 1971. My mother was a decorator and "do-it-yourself" mom, something I wish she had taught me. Now my daughter is a designer in Manhattan. I guess you could say "it is in the genes." I majored in art at San Francisco State University.

During my time in San Francisco I worked closely with the top design houses at the Showplace-Galleria, accessible only to the trade, such as, Baker, Knapp & Tubbs, Beacon Hill Home Furnishings, Belmar Custom Upholstery, Brown Jordan, Casella Lighting, Clarance House, de Sousa Hughes, Pacific Showroom West, Policelli Lighting, Randolph & Hein, Scalamandre, Shears & Windows, Sloan Miyasato, Kneedler-Fauchere.
